Ground the Seasonal Body for Autumn
In Chinese medicine, Lung energy, or Lung Qi (肺气, fèi qì), is particularly emphasized during the Autumn season. According to TCM, the emotion associated with the lungs is grief. It is believed that unprocessed grief or prolonged sadness can weaken Lung Qi, making the body more susceptible to illness.
Join me for a deliciously grounding afternoon of Yin Yoga to create harmony with the earth's cycle of Autumn
In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Autumn is a time to harvest our energies after the Summer growth cycle. It's time to pause, reflect, and connect with the intuitive ‘feeling’ parts of ourselves, and honor our inherent need to slow down and be still.
The Lungs are considered the most vulnerable organ in the body during this season, and imbalances in the Lung meridian can lead to respiratory issues, skin problems, and emotional imbalances such as grief and sadness.
Supporting the Lung Meridian through energy enhancement practices like Yin Yoga can help maintain balance during the Autumn months.
This workshop includes
-
Yin Yoga to stimulate the Kidneys and recharge our 'batteries', as well as the Lungs to process feelings of despair and sadness
-
Guided pranayama (breathwork) & meditation to create a container for somatically releasing tension from the body
-
Psycho-spiritual inquiry to reveal limiting patterns and encourage more receptivity and openness to new ways of being this Autumn
-
Restorative yoga to allow the body to metabolize the benefits of this deep practice
-
Sound Healing to offer vibrational frequencies that induce deep relaxation, helping to release stress and tension
